1. About these terms
These terms cover Qibla Finder and this website, provided by NVAPPS LTD, 86–90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. For support or questions, email hello@nvapps.co.
2. What Qibla Finder provides
The app provides a Qibla compass, distance to the Kaaba, a map, a choice of compass designs and multiple interface languages. It also offers selected YouTube broadcasts from Mecca and Medina when available. These features are currently free and do not require an account or subscription.
Once your location is set, the compass can show the Qibla direction without internet. Maps and videos need an internet connection. Your mobile provider may charge for data.
3. Direction and device limitations
Direction and distance depend on the location available to the app. Compass readings also depend on your phone’s sensors, calibration and surroundings. Magnets, metal objects and nearby electronics can affect readings. We cannot promise that every reading will be completely accurate. If a reading seems wrong, calibrate your phone, move away from interference and check the direction against streets and buildings on the map.
4. Using the app and its content
You may use the app for your personal use on compatible devices you own or control, subject to the applicable app-store licence. NVAPPS LTD and its licensors retain rights in the app, branding and original artwork. Maps, videos and other third-party content remain the property of their owners.
Use the app lawfully. Do not attack or disrupt the app or its providers, bypass access controls, or copy, resell or distribute protected software or content without permission. These restrictions do not remove rights granted by applicable law or by an open-source licence included with the software.
5. App stores and third-party services
Downloads are also subject to the relevant store’s terms, including the Google Play terms. For an App Store download, Apple’s standard EULA applies unless a different licence is supplied through the store. This page does not replace that licence. NVAPPS LTD, rather than Apple, provides app support.
Maps use Mapbox and videos use YouTube. Their applicable terms are available from Mapbox and YouTube; Google services are also subject to the Google terms. We do not operate these services or own the broadcasts. Streams, map coverage and availability can change. Our own obligations to you remain unaffected.
6. Privacy, updates and future changes
Our privacy policy explains how information is handled. You can manage location permission in your device settings; denying it can limit the app’s ability to determine your direction.
We may release updates to fix problems, maintain compatibility or improve the app. If optional paid features are introduced, their price and conditions, including any recurring charge, will be disclosed before you choose them. These terms do not authorise a charge. Material changes to these terms will be explained with reasonable notice and an updated date, and will not remove rights you have already acquired. You can stop using or uninstall the app at any time.
7. Our responsibility and your rights
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. We remain responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing here excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your statutory consumer rights, including rights concerning faulty or misdescribed digital content and services, are unaffected.
8. Applicable law and questions
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Mandatory protections under the law where you live, and any right to bring a consumer claim in your local courts, continue to apply. Please contact hello@nvapps.co if something goes wrong so we can try to resolve it.
